Autumn is a beautiful season of change… We transition out of the hot & humid weather into the cooler, drier days leading up to Winter. As we leave Summer behind, our sun-kissed skin can show increased signs of dehydration, pigmentation and redness, so our skincare ritual at this time of year needs to focus on restoring the skin first and then hydrate it in preparation for the cooler weather.
Step 1 – Cleanse
Throughout this transition season, we recommend switching up your cleanser to suit the time of day. The Purifying Gel Cleanser is perfect for the morning as it freshly cleans and hydrates your skin ready for the day ahead. In the evening, we recommend using the Radiance Cream Cleanser to gently remove impurities, environmental pollution and make up. Both cleansers will leave your skin smooth, soft and clarified.
Step 2 – Exfoliate
To ensure your skin is ready to effectively penetrate and utilise your daily products, it’s important to exfoliate 1-2 times a week. Our Refining Face Polish is a triple action face exfoliant:
1) The AHA rich Lilly Pilly and gentle fruit acids dissolve dull surface build up
2) Eco-friendly Jojoba beads refine the skin, revealing a soft, smooth, luminous complexion.
3) Soothing Kaolin clay draws out excess dirt, oil and impurities
Step 3 – Serum
The Kakadu Brightening Serum is the hydration boost that your Summer skin needs in order to repair. The Vitamin C intensive formula will renew the skin and target hyper pigmentation, sunspots, blemishes and uneven skin tone.
Step 4 – Moisturise
As the cooler months approach, it’s time to switch out your light moisturiser and move to a more nourishing moisturiser that locks in moisture. Applying the Ultra Rich Moisturiser morning & evening will nurture and protect your skin, ready for the drier air in the lead up to Winter. Rich in Hyaluronic acid, this moisturiser is deeply hydrating without feeling heavy or greasy.
Also, a reminder to not forget about your hands! They need daily hydration with the help of the Wild Kakadu Hand & Body Cream as the skin on the back of your hands is thin and more prone to wrinkles and ageing. In the drier and cooler air your hands can become more rough and cracked. Invest in a rich moisturiser that will protect your hands and won’t leave a greasy residue.
