Guided by Gaia’s wellness philosophy, the Day Spa offers an extensive range of treatments and therapies using Retreatment Botanics Luxury Skincare—crafted to nourish the skin, restore balance and nurture the whole being. Enjoy time out between treatments and further restore whilst enjoying the serenity of our Spa Aqua facilities which include an outdoor heated magnesium pool, detoxifying sauna and spa.

Kukura House
Kukura House – Kukura meaning ‘People’ in ancient Sanskrit, is the soul of your Gaia experience and the true nucleus of our retreat.
A Gathering of People
This contemporary Samoan-style longhouse is the heart of Gaia—where guests dine, relax and connect. With soaring ceilings, natural wood accents and soft flowing fabrics, it offers warmth, elegance and a sense of splendour inspired by the land. By day or night, guests can unwind with a book, board game or herbal tea on a daybed. Kukura also houses our reception and Gaia Shop, featuring locally sourced skincare, produce, clothing and artefacts.

Set on 25 acres of Bundjalung Country, Gaia offers serene nature walks, ancient songlines, and Samira Lookout—“wind of God and breeze”—with breathtaking sunrises, sunsets, and panoramic views. Relax on daybeds and soak in the beauty of this sacred land.

Consciously treading lightly
We use organic, locally sourced produce—much grown in our on-site gardens—to serve nutritious, healthy cuisine. Gaia also embraces eco-friendly practices, including Australian-made cleaning products, recycling, composting, and integrated pest management. Through the Rainforest Rescue Regeneration Scheme, we’ve planted over 4,000 trees, enhancing native vegetation and supporting the environment.
